ABOUT | Anil Rinat

I am Anil Rinat, an artist and designer working under the name shakilanil. My practice moves across different mediums—3D, digital paintings, spray paint, and soft sculpture—yet what ties it all together is a fascination with characters.

My work often features toy-like, whimsical figures that feel erratic and familiar at the same time, capturing something childlike but also unsettling.

I’ve spent years as a designer and animator, but my focus now is on growing as an artist and developing a body of work that feels uniquely mine, one that lives beyond commercial design.

I graduated from the Visual Communication Department at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, in 2017.
